This website seeks to provide students in North Carolina with a further understanding of our states history. This site seeks to meet the needs of several standards listed from third to fifth grade within the state. Particularly for this site, state standard 4.H.1.3. This standards states: Explain how people, events and developments brought about changes to communities in various regions of N.C. This site has chosen to focus on that of the Moravians and their settlement in the piedmont in the mid 1700's. Through their settlement, North Carolina would be forever impacted and our ways of living would be influenced tremendously. This site is to assist students in understanding the Moravian faith, culture, and their journey in finding the perfect land, known as Wachovia. |
